19 . How far should the Deck25 Composite Decking boards be spaced apart?
A space of 4mm should be left between Deck25 deck boards laid side by side and 4mm again when butt joining end to end.
Deck25 has a large recycled plastic content therefore temperature will affect expansion and contraction, unlike timber whose moisture content is the main determinant of expansion and contraction. Timber shrinks in the summer while Deck25 expands very slightly.
